Political and Professional Career
After graduating from Lewis University, I worked for the City of Crest Hill Police Department as a police officer from 1980-85. In 1985, I began a new career as a letter carrier at the Westmont Post Office. I retired from working as a letter carrier in Westmont on July 31, 2015 with 30 years of service. During this time, I continued to serve the citizens of Crest Hill as a member of the Plan Commission from 1991-93, as Ward 1 Alderman from 1993 to 2009, and then as your Mayor since 2009. I am proud that during my 32 years on the City Council, I have only missed three City Council meetings. I have also taken an active interest in this city by serving on several committees, including:
- Negotiations Committee, member for 10 years, chairman 1995-2003
- Veterans and Police Memorial Committee, chairman 1995-present
- Member of the Wescom Board of Directors 1997-2009 and 2015-present
(Wescom provides Police, Fire, and Ambulance dispatch for Crest Hill.)
